Why this matters Why symbols can turn back into letters
Wingdings is a font: applying it changes how source keys look, not the underlying text. Plain-text destinations can therefore reveal the original letters. Portable mode substitutes standard Unicode characters where a documented mapping exists. Office mode keeps the source keys and asks the destination to apply the selected font. Image mode captures this device’s rendering when appearance matters more than editable text.

Translation, detection, chart search, and image rendering run on your device. The site has no analytics, advertising script, account, cookie, or server API for translation. A share link stores text after the # fragment; browsers do not send that fragment in the HTTP request.
Local storage is limited to interface settings such as theme, selected family, direction, and output mode. It never stores translator input. You can remove those settings below.

Use the result as evidence, not a universal font promise
The tool provides documented mappings and clearly labels close or font-only cases. Unicode portability does not guarantee pixel-identical glyphs. Word, Excel, Outlook, browser, operating-system, and clipboard behavior can change by version. Verify a critical symbol in the actual destination before publishing or automating it.
Microsoft Wingdings and Webdings font binaries are not distributed by this site. Mapping build input is used under BSD-2-Clause; Unicode data follows the Unicode data license; project annotations and /chart.json are published under CC BY 4.0 with provenance.
The service is provided without warranty. Do not rely on decorative symbols alone for safety instructions, legal notices, medical communication, navigation controls, or any other high-stakes meaning.
